This is (essentially) just paraphrasing what Gregg just said -- let's not have Qualcomm "descend to the level" of the rumor spreaders.

(This is an idea that my wife and I are always trying to teach our kids).

Jon.

Gregg and Jon -

Management would have very minimal inolvement. All they have to do is get the investigators and lawyers going. No depositions or other involvement with Q staff or employees.

Just the first indication that investigators are on the trail will give those who would damage the company irresponsibly with false rumours the very firm message that they will soon be involved in litigation for a number of years and at tremendous cost. They will soon stop and let the market return to normal trading where those win and more importantly those who lose do so fairly.

Gregg this is not a distraction. If wohever did this with false rumours gets away with it then two things will certainly happen:-

They will make money
Innocent shareholders will lose money

and there might be a third problem:

They might do it again and cause a real problem.

Regards,

L

I read the reports that you mentioned earlier from Cowen and our freind Cabi. One of them also cited India as a source of weakness. I know for a fact that QCOM has negligible revenue coming from India. I agree with your assessment of their reports.
