Do you mean me? No, I'm not a short-term short. I'm just getting nervous a bit as it gets toward its high once again. My plan from the beginning has been to hold this one short and cover when I either get margin calls or when it drops to 50, even if that's a year from now. It would be nice to day trade this one as you have been doing but I'm too worried about finding shares to short once the big decline comes. I don't have enough experience to play options yet, so your idea about selling calls isn't viable to me. I wish it were.

Rob, congratulations on your TA for this week. Though some on this group have given you a hard time about it, today's action makes it look like you were correct in the end. I for one appreciate the input and work you have done.

Rob, I have been watching Amazon on a daily basis for a month.
It looks like it turned for the worst and I missed the drop at
the end of day to 127.5.

Is it too late to short now and what happens if the market opens
down or gap down? How do I determine whether to short or not on
the gap down?

Regards,

Cyclops

Rob,

Intraday chart was sound for a top and the daily was a good (but not great should have been a bit higher) shooting star. Interesting thing is that a line from the previous two closing highs was the high of todays trading range. I thought that we'd see the resistance there but instead it lacked even the strength for that...and the reasonable volume supports the position.

All in all, triple top has formed (as long as tomorrow confirms), RSI, stochs, price/volume - all seeming to suggest the top. I'm going to retake a short position tomorrow and look for 110.

Enjoy.
