<<The best way to counter obnoxious speech is with more speech. Persuasion, not coercion, is the solution.>>

If you propose to have a go at persuading Emile, I wish you the best of luck. I doubt it's possible.

NYCNPBBKR, the First Amendment does not guarantee the freedom to force a private entity, in this case SI, to publish whatever garbage someone wants to post on it's bulletin board. If the intent of this petition were to encourage the gov't to pass a law to silence Emile then I would be squarely against it. The First Amendment rights here are SI's, and those of the petitioners requesting that SI choose to exercise it's Constitutionally protected right of freedom of the press, and to cease providing Emile with the ability to publish under it's banner. Emile may start his own website, and continue to publish his ravings to his hearts content. Perhaps he should consider using www.nutcake.com as the domain name.

However, I will personally abstain from voting either way. I have the next button if I wish to ignore Emile.

You have different rules than the rest of us, since you are a broker.
I didn't make them.

As far as the petition, I don't think that people should "rise up" against an individual any further than to demand that SI follow it's stated "terms of use".

Everyone must be careful not to try and turn the suspending or banning of people based on popularity. IMO.

TLC has referenced many posts in the header.
If SI will review them, they should be able to make a decision.

A petition demanding that SI review his posts, and make a decision has my signature.
