Def, I watched my old pal Milton Freidman on MONEYLINE
last night and was interested by his conclusion that Asia
crisis was likely to have minor impact on US econ.

I am having a little trouble reconciling his opinion.

RE: "(4) Clinton Presidency highly endangered. Just check out editorials of NY Times, WSJ, Washington Post (the first and last normally liberal)"

The first three reasons for selling into this rally may be appropriate, but I don't buy into the fourth one, above. I'm still seeing way too many people (Democrats, I'm sure) on TV saying that we should forgive Bill's perjury, since he admitted his mistake and apologized. With so many people on TV stating that perjury should be forgiven, because it's better to have a perjurer in office than one of those "mean spirited" Republicans, I can't believe anything will be done.

My projection: Bill will continue to serve his "Lame Duck" term and, typical of any lame duck president, will provide little or no leadership.

Best wishes,

I2
