Freeloaders, FREELOADERS!!!!

Someone going out and EARNING!!! up to 32,000 does not constitute freeloading. No wonder you have no sense of reality. Freeloading is when people sit around on their hinends and do nothing but collect money. Freeloaders my butt.

Get a grip.

I can't believe this one.

<<Allowing a$32000 deduction seems to be creating a very large class of free loaders to me>>

I'm not sure I'd use the term freeloaders (although it's an accurate description - I just don't want to piss all those people off - that's probably a large portion of America), but your worries are why I favor a national sales tax. It's much harder to hide from, and seems to be more fair. It also encourages savings and investment, and makes you think about how much government costs every time you make a purchase.

I think most people would favor a simplification regardless of the specifics. We need a system that everybody could trust. Right now, lower paids think higher paids don't pay taxes. Higher paids think they are taxed too much.

A flat tax or sales tax in place of the current system would reduce much of the class warfare we see with the existing system.
