Eric or anyone. 1st qtr 1996 had revenues of 3.146 billion. Does anyone know if there were any unusual revenues. What I'm trying to get at is number of units produced. In light of some concerns about manufacturing it would be interesting to know the max units produced in the recent past. Rich.

Andrew, one other thing to ponder when you get around to considering 1st qtr 99 ending Dec. From 92-97 average change in revenues from 4th to 1 qtr was 1.6%, 15%, 16%, 16.6%, 0.6% and -7%. I think we can eliminate the 3 low data points and assume the other 3 points will be more typical of this year which would give us 15.9%. Rich

"Eric Yang estimates in a July entry on AAPL Investors for "other"
revenue from the quarter to be 240 million. Presumably "other" refers to software sales and leftovers like the eMate. Eric, perhaps you could explain this category."

The $240 million included revenue from servers, eMate, software, and peripherals.

The assumptions:

-400,000 iMac sales in accordance with Macintouch/other sources
-constant AIO sales
-mild increase of Powerbook sales from last quarter
-10% decrease in G3 desktop shipments
-Lowered margin to 24.8% due to iMacs, price cutting.
-Increased costs to 310 million (6% increase Q-Q)

I'd say there is no way AIO sales will remain constant. The iMac will bite into the AIO big time. On the other hand I'd put a bit more of a mild increase on PB sales. I don't think Apple will post revenues above $1,600mill, and I'd put my money in $1450-1550mill as the likely range...

-AIO sales will decline beacuse of the AIO. PB sales I think will see more than a mild increase.
