What is going on with the Catalina coatings?

You will recall that when PRST sounded out their earnings warning, a factor besides Hberg was the startup of the new Catalina coating line. There seems to be no news regarding the status.

I would like to go to Tuscon and look in the back door of their facility. One wonders if the rolls are turning or if the engineers are still scratching their head.

Scott,

<I think your estimates are just fine>

I am afraid I didn't explain my example well enough. It was not my estimate for what will/could happen. It was, imo, almost a 'best case' scenario. Obviously it doesn't account for the unknown, such as the Alcoa deal actually turning into something, but it does utilize some pretty generous numbers. A P/E ratio of 40 and earnings 5 times higher than last Q.

<I believe these are what ifs that are not included in your very fair and reasonable scenario.>

What if's generally aren't priced into a stock.

<I am still some what amazed by the amount of cash on hand (24 million) from a company that only shows 2 cents of earnings last Q. This is not the sign of an unhealthy company, in fact it is very bullish.>

I think this another point for my case from yesterday regarding numbers. Please explain to me why having $24 million cash on hand is 'very bullish' for Presstek.
