j_b,

To qualify as a "classic american" today you need to have grave reservations about the accuracy of press reports....read & watch most news reports while taking a huge grain of salt.

BTW, if rascally Ross Perot hadn't been enjoying his new play toy(campaigning for presidency).....we would probably have elected Geo. Bush rather than Clinton....looks as tho' the Repub. party is considering making that loss up to Geo. by nominating his son this time.

Did you see Pres. Bush being interviewed by David Frost last night?....came across as "classic" american as always. One statement that surprised me was when he said Allan Greenspan was a major disappointment to him after his reappointment during the campaign....fact that Greenspan didn't lower interest rates enough in order to encourage a quicker recovery of the economy was his gripe.

Ann

<<I supported Clinton until I thought he had committed an act of treachery - specifically allowing the Chinese to get their hands on missile guidance technology and supercomputers.>>

I'm curious, how did Clinton allow this? Specifically, what were his actions that allowed this to occur. I do agree that we (the U.S.) shouldn't have allowed this to occur.
