What the ERP software stocks are going thru now is similar to the networking industry last year. Business slowdown and consolidations took their toll on weak players, but the strong survived. CSCO also corrected around 40% during that time, but they kept reporting good earnings and the stock soared after that. PSFT has also corrected around 45% from its April high, the company has reiterated revenue growth projection of 60-65% for the 2nd half, and Albert Duffield has bought 100,000 shares in the high 30s. The stock is selling at less than 40 times '99 est of 0.95. A generally bad market for high tech and especially ERP software stocks has contributed to the downturn, but if PSFT keeps delivering on their earnings ests, the market will eventually recognize that and PSFT will lead the pack again.
