Here's a final tidbit, a plea to Ellen, and a proposal.

TIDBIT: The caller didn't seem terribly interested to know what my average per share price was, even though I mentioned I could give it. She wanted to know HOW LONG I HAD BEEN A SHAREHOLDER and the HIGH & LOW RANGE I bought at -- without bothering over any details about how many shares at what specific price or even how the whole thing averages out.

Go figure. I have & I can't find anything good in this. I see someone on the AOL board says he had a recorded message on his answering machine to the same effect as my call.

PLEA TO Ellen: If you're out there please let us know what the heck is going on.

PROPOSAL: (I'm sorry I didn't think of this earlier, during the phone call.) Until we are told something official by Xoma, no shareholder should answer any questions from McKenzie Whatziss. It's time for a little civil disobedience.

Opal April, your name is listed in various internet list. I was just kidding when I said I thought you were Mr. Pril. Seriously, in another life and in another country, another company, I was called by two people that were part of a group that wanted to oust the board of directors. They woke me at about 4 a.m. I kept them talking to run up their long distance bill but in spite of my best efforts they were successful. My point? Under certain conditions one can get access to stockholders list. You probably need a lawyer or just know what your rights are to obtain access. This of course does not explain why they would have the number of shares wrong.

BTW with $40 million in cash at XOMA at current prices it would take only about $40 million net to buy the company. Of course if one wanted to continue to operate the company one would have to spend the $40 million obtained in a takeover. The only thing that helps thwart a takeover is that many other companies are also cheap now.
