Markets have a tough go of it every fourth year, more or less. '82, '87 (year late), '90, '94, and now '98. I believe history supports this. Check it out.

Eddie, I think you should keep your eyes on the companies, not the markets. So long as the company's prospects are bright why panic? The essence of being an investor is putting your money into a promising company and watching the company flourish. The stock market is actually a distraction. The only prices you should care about is when you buy and when you sell.
