More info on 10/19-10/23 Networld Interop

thestreet.com

Oct. 19-23: Networld and Interop, Atlanta

been investing in companies like Broadcom
(BRCM:Nasdaq) and Vitesse (VTSS:Nasdaq), which provide
the booming telecommunications industry with specialized
chips that enhance delivery of data over networks and the
Internet. The conference is the largest gathering of
networking, Internet and intranet experts and last year
featured keynote talks from executives of Cisco
(CSCO:Nasdaq), Lucent (LU:NYSE), Sun (SUNW:Nasdaq)
and Tivoli Systems, owned by IBM (IBM:NYSE), on the
problems and promises of voice, data and video integration.

djane,

>>I've been a careful reader of Cramer's columns since thestreet.com opened. He is a straight shooter and generally tries to help small investors even up the info gap. But, I take issue with his 2 columns on Sunday night<<

I read his columns pretty carefully also. Always a lot to learn
whether he's right or wrong.

One thing that bothered me about reading his last two columns,
(I do think he has some validity, but maybe he is just
getting overly worried), is that last friday I think, he said,
that as we go down another level, there are going to be a whole
new group of investor's that know there are bargains
to be had. Sure, there are problems in the world. Russia has
now been discounted. This week it will be Japan or HK.

The main point he said last I remember, was, "there will
be bargain hunter's who will step in because of the serious
undervaluation starting to occur".

I can't find a good enough reason to discard this idea if
we were to drop another 500-1000 pts. Well, maybe
Sept. is preannouncement month, but then again, this
month took its place. Are the majority of company earnings going
to be that miserable for Q3. I think not. Bargain hunters
are drooling at this moment and at some point they will snap.
