Jimmy... did you call them and complain?
It's worth your time. I'm sure most of the brokers were backed up on heavy volume, but if Fido hears from enough folks they'll make the effort to make improvements.

REF:Fidelity

Jimmmy: I am a loyal Fidelity customer for over a decade and quite pleased with their service.I have never had any problems with them and none of my trades take more than 5-6 seconds usually, often less but you may have to cut them some slack on a day like yesterday I am sure, considering the heavy vol and everything, besides it may not be even there fault. If you think you had a bad experience yesterday you should definitely let them know.

I have had a ton of problems with Lombard. I bought DELL Sep 95 puts this morning when DELL was at 102. I didn't even know if they were bought or not because the internet wasn't updating my account! How can you sell something you don't know if you have or not?!?

So I tried to play it smart by calling the broker and confirm my trades. WRONG! From the time DELL went to 94 and back up, I was on hold! Eventually I made a nice profit, but NOWHERE near what I could have had.

Also, last week, Lombard's internet site was giving incorrect quotes.

I cashed out my 90% of my account today. I only own some out of the money DELL puts. I'm better off estimating a price that I'd like to sell them at the next day, and placing a limit order.
