To all,

Here is another chance to ignore this perennially WRONG bear cub. If I had made half the totally wrong calls that this LUDICROUS TUKKUS has made in the last six months I would keep my mouth shut.

LT, you've done so well with Japan, XAU and oil you must be holding a sigh that reads "Will expound foolishly on the market for food".

Mr. Lucretius Taurus: Thanks for your opinion on DELL.

Yet, many of us have incredible confidence in this company's future.

Never sell DELL --- or you will regret it. I could care less about short term market gyrations. I'm betting on Michael Dell and his team big time.

Lets see who comes out ahead 5 years from now!!

Isn't it also interesting that the manager of the top performing Janus 20 mutual fund chooses to own over $1 Billion in DELL stock. He even added to his position yesterday. .....hmmmmmm......He may know more than you.

Go Long on DELL or you'll be sorry (in the long run).

I just buy and hold the best stocks I can find -- and DELL is on top of my list.

Good Luck Investing.

-Scott

Hey Luc....this is not a put down, simply an observation.

Looked at your posts to this and other threads. You own Gold, and coincedentaly you taught Gold quite a bit. Whatever you own...oil, gold and etc....is going thru the roof. But you don't own any Dell or Cisco, so they they are fixing to crash.

No offense, but people like you really piss me off. You have a specific agenda and that is to hype what you have and downgrade what you don't. Do us all a favor....don't buy any DELL. We don't need, nor wan't your kind on this thread or as fellow shareholders in this company.

The sad thing is, you could be right....but it would not be for the reasons you expect. If the market tanks, Dell will follow, as will everything, and that is a possibility. But Dell is as good as it gets in this screwed up market. I personally, along with many others, think dell is a relative safehaven in these volatile times. Things may go up....they may go down....but I like my chances on the DELL rollercoaster, a whole lot more then anything other ride I could go on. Stick with your gold, I hope you turn it into your own little fort knox.............I'm sticking with Dell.

Ludicrous Toad....your obsessive ego overcame your gentleman's word not to post on the Dell thread until the stock should ever fall below $80. You continue to reinforce your image as a bombastic blowhard buffoon. Based on applying your own investment advice, I'm surprised that you can still afford your ISP connection.

I think there will be a downturn after the split as many bulls here have already said. So I'm ready to buy some Sep puts tomorrow or Friday but will sell them as soon as I have a decent profit, then buy the calls again. I'm making thousands a day simply by flipping puts and calls short term. Better than holding out for LEAP puts to make a profit. Try it, you'll be surprised.
BTW, long term I will still accumulate DELL. Sorry.

Why do you own foreign stocks? Won't they fall a lot too? Will Dell drop more percentagewise than the dow, nasdaq, emerging markets? Should I be short Dell?

You're a popular guy around here. One always gets ostracized until proven correct.

Anyways...I agree with you. I bought DELL last Friday and plan to sell tomorrow or on Tuesday hopefully $59 or above. I think you're right about this market...we are heading further down. I'm starting to think 6500 is a likely scenario and I think we might get there by mid October. People need to wake up a see that deflation is a fact. Take a look at Japan if you want an example. Furthermore, that real growth rate for the S&P 500 peaked two years ago and has been declining since. The DOW needs to correct to 5500 to get back to historic valuations and regardless of what people want to think, valuation is still important. I don't think we'll go that low, but 6500 is my target. When the market starts to slide again it will drag all stocks with it. Dell is great company with great earnings, but even it can't withstand the tanking market. I will look to re-enter DELL in the mid-$40s.
