Scumbria - Re : "Next year we will have MXi, PCOAC and K7 to continue eating away at Intel's "total margin dollars." I like that - "Just wait Until Next Year"! Just how much money will NSM and AMD have next year to work with? And you state with such certainty that the MXi (due in 1998), the PCOAC and the K7 will even be INTRODUCED next year ! That in itself is a prayer - actually 3 prayers ! And what do you think Intel is going to do between now and the end of next year - send their engineers home on a 15 month vacation? Get real ! I'd spend some time to tell you about Intel's product and process development plans for the next year but you would only ignore it. But you can't ignore your great rewards on your AMD, NSM and Cyrix investments - all at or near multiple-year lows. When are you going to wake up and get a dose of reality? Paul

Scumbria, <The arrival of MediaGX (and the sub-$1000 PC) 18 months ago, correlates quite nicely with the malaise of INTC stock.> I don't agree. IMO, the arrival of a recession in Japan, Asia crisis and the general slowdown in global semiconductor demand, which has caused companies like LSI, ATML, NSM etc. to lose nearly 300% of their stock value, correlates quite nicely with INTC only making well over 1 billion dollars each QUARTER during this period.
