SMS and PeopleSoft to End Distribution Agreement

MALVERN, Pa., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Shared Medical Systems Corporation (SMS) (NYSE: SMS) has announced that SMS and PeopleSoft have agreed to end their marketing and distribution agreement. SMS will no longer market PeopleSoft applications as part of its NOVIUS(R) general financial, human resources, and materials management solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, SMS will retain the right to install, support, and maintain the PeopleSoft applications for customers that have contracted for or installed these applications. PeopleSoft will continue to provide software and services that will enable SMS to support its current customers.
