Semi equips are in worse shape.

When the CFO of the biggest company in the industry says 1999 is "imponderable", you know the industry is in big trouble. It'll be at least a couple of years before a recovery. Adaptec isn't nearly in such bad shape.

As Boucher and Adler said, there have been tougher times before and the company weathered the storm.
