Here is an example of a valid "other side" opinion:

A significant change in the value of the dollar against the currency of one or more countries where Company X sells products to local customers or makes purchases from local suppliers may materially adversely affect Company X's results. Company X attempts to mitigate any such effects through the use of foreign currency contracts, although there can be no assurances that such attempts will be successful.

Sounds pretty bad, eh? Maybe someone should not invest in such a company? Well, except Company "X" is Lucent, and I took this from their latest Form 10 they filed with the SEC. I just wanted to point this type of statement out, so that everyone becomes aware that a fully reporting company is expected to state both positives and negatives in their filings, so that investors have all of the information they need to make an investment decision.

I welcome all opinions, and only ask that they be responsible and defensible. Since I have no control over what anyone posts, I make my own choices as to who to read and who to skip over.

without knowing anything about us, "they" call us hypesters.
So, it would be fair game to call "them " naysayers/bashers, don't you think? :)))

I too welcome open debate...

But, there should be rules. Rules should include something about not posting innuendo, 1/2 truths, unfounded accusations and outright lies.

Those type of things do nothing to enhance the quality of discussion.

I think you should go back and do your homework.

Lazarus, welcoming an open forum where folks have INTEGRITY!

Larry,

I have tried and tried to understand you. Defending peoples right to there own ideas, freedom of speech is very commendable but lets look at who you are defending. No emotion, just hard cold facts.

You wrote:
<Just because you or me may not agree with Mr McGinnis' statements, doesn't mean he's a "naysayer" or "basher". I can't speak for him but I don't think he's a naysayer just because he is pointing out things, which may be perceived as negative, that he believes or things he's questioning.>

Larry, read what he writes, "see you at 0", "your all going down in flames", "sheep to the slaughter". Show me where he is pointing out anything? Show me the questions he is asking with these statements?

You wrote:
<Also, you allude by the use of the term "responsible" that perhaps what Mr McGinnis is saying is "not" responsible. I think he IS being responsible by doing the best he can to present the "other side of the story".>

Larry, I still have your e-mail address and will send you several post numbers. Please go and check them out. How can you, under any circumstances, say that he is being responsible. He takes what was a very nuetral press release, even verging on the negitive, but that was not good enough for him, he cut the first sentence, left out the entire bulk of the paragraph, then cut just the last sentence, pushed them together, and posted it as fact. Larry, this is an out and out lie, distortion of the truth, and is not responsible except to himself. And he has done these sort of things from the beginning.

You wrote:

<And what if Mr McGinnis is right in some of the things he's saying. Doesn't it benefit all of us to know it? Do we gain anything substantive by burying our heads in the ground like an ostrich and refusing to see other sides of the coin?>

Larry, please show me just one thing that he has been right on? Not many, just one. I may have missed it as I do not read anything he says any longer as it cannot be trusted. I am going to give the benefit of doubt on this one, trying to keep an open mind, so just show me.

You wrote:
<We will all be better off by opening up our minds and eyes to other opinions. That's all I'm saying.>

I agree 100%

And last but not least, you wrote:

<I vote for Mr McGinnis.>

I vote NOT, and I hope that you will change yours...

Larry, I really think that your heart is in the right place, but you have your facts wrong concerning this person. Anyway, later you DGIVAHOLIC you.....

:-D
