>>His prosecutors are a bunch of attack dogs, who who don't know the difference between prosecuting a county sheriff and prosecuting the President of the United States<<

Ah, beautiful isn't it? I can just see our symbol of justice now. You know the one, don't you, the lovely lady holding the scales of justice wearing a blindfold..... Only in America, POTUS being held to the same standard as a lowly county sheriff..... Thanks for pointing it out.

Re: Starr's alleged scorched earth policy

I can certainly understand it given the lying, stonewalling, failure to produce documents, memory lapses, missing witnesses, etc. Starr owes Bubba NO courtesy. JLA

<<You call that worth 40 million dollars? C'mon.>>
I don't know how you put a price tag on criminal prosecution, particularly when it involves the close associates of elected officials. Even if the officials themselves may have been smart enough to "keep their hands clean- legally". It is crucially important that public officials and their "pals" be kept honest.

<<Starr is the beneficiary (unwilling or not) of a concerted effort (yes, a conspiracy) to get Clinton:>>
Right, another of these "vast right-wing conspiracy" theorists. It's hardly a conspiracy when people are quite open about what they are doing- even publishing it for all to read in their magazines (eg. The American Spectator). Chalk that up to another idiotic statement by the defenders of a very corrupt man who happens to be President of the United States. A less biased way of putting is all these folks expect the president to be held responsible to the law. As I've pointed out, the least citizen would risk an extended time in prison if convicted of what Starr has accused Sleazebag Bill of doing. The same should apply to him.

<<Oddly enough, more Europeans support Clinton than Americans do.>>
Another disingenuous statement by those who couldn't care less about integrity. Europeans may be characterized as bemused by Americans concern about a "mere" sex scandal: which Clinton's problems manifestly are not. BTW, more than one British cabinet member has been obliged to step down for a small fraction of the indiscretions that Clinton has committed- and that's to say nothing of the perjury and obstruction of justice charges. Your analysis of European experience is misleading to the point of baselessness, all in an intellectually dishonest effort to defend possibly the sleaziest guy ever to sit in the Oval Office.

As for Netanyahu, Israelis in general are not upset that he ordered the assassination of some shitty mass murderer like the Hamas official; that is a moral act in my book and by the majority of the Israeli electorate. Israelis were only upset that his guys got caught. Just another example of your false, self-serving distortions.

<<Starr obtained a bunch of convictions of low-level corruption of Arkansas that had nothing to do with the President and nothing to
do with Whitewater. Maybe 3 convictions have any connection to
the President: McDougal/Hale were convicted of Whitewater. Hubbell was a federal official convicted of billing fraud. You call that worth 40 million dollars?>>

Oh, and Jim Guy Tucker, a sitting Governor, doesn't count? What is he, a potted plant? (;>)
