On the environment: The Republicans will dismantle the EPA and leave enforcement to the states. This means zero enforcement as individual business will blackmail states by threatening to leave.

On the economy: There is a virulent strain of grass root "Buchananistic" isolationism taking charge of the party at evidenced by the House's refusal to pass IMF funding. A policy of disengagement could send us all down the tubes. [Remember about 50% of AAPL's revenues are from overseas.]

On overall quality of life: "Think Pottersville." -- with Jerry Falwell playing Mr. Potter.
