The danger to the Republic lies in having a guy with such poor judgement and self control in a position of authority over the military and the Dept of Justice, and of the inability of a known liar to lead the country in the event of a real emergency.

I disagree entirely. Clinton is a lawyer and in addition to his perjury, he allowed false evidence to be submitted and allowed his lawyer to use that evidence to advance his position. Might the Judge have ruled differently if the evidence had in fact been the truth? He absolutely should be disbarred. Would that qualify as enough to constitute a "misdemeanor" under your definition? The cover up is what got Nixon. It will also be Clinton's undoing. JLA
