Miram, there is nothing hypocritical about it. I've voted in the past, and I'll vote when the candidates and their positions on the issues merit my vote. What disease are you referring to that you wish to stop?

I am considering abandoning my right to vote also, but have not yet done so because it seems to seriously anger people, even liberals (whom you would think would be pleased). So I ask you as a fellow American, help me understand why I cannot abandon my right to vote, and yet complain about the direction of the country. I am truly undecided, so will debate you chiefly by asking questions. I know this is somewhat off-topic, but I do very much desire your help here, and I hope the forum deity will allow it. (I do not know how to start new sections, and all that.)
