Sun, [edited] thank you for outlining your strategy! I'm a sailor and so took note of > in stormy weather it is best to stay near the shore<

If on shore when a storm comes up, I'd STAY ashore.
If already at sea I'd stay AWAY from shore for fear
of running aground.
I'm not sure whether this analogy can be transferred
to investing.
