I thought this rather interesting. Same date as the rerelease of the old press release.Look at the last sentence.

Belize City, September 17, 1998

One of the commitments to the people by the People's United Party will soon be realized. The housing boom involving the construction of 10,000 houses is expected to kick off as early as next week.

According to the Minister of Housing, Dickie Bradley, citizens are being invited to apply for the promised housing.

Already land in the Queen's Square, Collet and Lake Independence constituencies have been identified where construction for the first houses will kick off shortly.

Dilapidated buildings will be replaced with new structures. Citizens who already have their land in Belize City will be the first beneficiaries of the new housing programme.

Prime Minister Musa is expected to announce in his Independence Day Address on September 21, that applications forms will be available at the Housing Department. These forms will provide statistical basis to the Housing authorities to determine the demand for various types of houses.

The Department also has plans available for the public showing the current model and sizes and costs of houses that can be built.
