I was curious about it and so I just called them and they said that they do trade the SPX options. They asked me why I was asking and I told them that I had seen on the net that they don't and their response was "yes, absolutely"

Never traded them myself, though

You've given me a lot to think about - and ask of a new broker. And yes, size would probably be a consideration - I don't think I trade the same size Tom does !

I have been told that having representation in Chicago is important. And I was glad to hear that you use several firms - that seems to be the situation I've found myself in - have one firm I like for stocks because of their ability to borrow good shorts... but they are terriable with NYSE stocks... and would not even dream of trading options with them , even if they offered it

Printed out your suggestions and will use them to base my decision on
