I am with Trooper on this one and I think that XYLN is the perfect traget.

Give me a break,

I've seen the printed remarks from Chambers and they made it clear that there are no merger talks underway. CSCO may become interested, or make an offer, (or someone else may) but let's stop pretending something is imminent.

FYI $1 B is not small (maybe compared to CSCO, but not compared to most CSCO acquisitions.)

Chambers said they have problems, they would not provide big wins in the short term, and he implied they might not be strategic for the long term.

No one has put forth a case that CSCO is better off owning CIEN than partnering with CIEN. No one is trying to spread FUD, but how 'bout we take a realistic view of the situation.
