Since I am not a daytrader, I have yet to set up an on-line account.

I have been considering Ameritrade.

Any comments? Pro or Con?

I prefer to short stocks that also trade options. Datek does not appear
to trade options or provide quotes on them. Can anyone recommend an on-line broker that trades options, allows shorting, and briefly comment about their experiences. Timely execution is important. Good service is a plus. Do any offer real time options quotes?
