My Scottsdale person said that if someone sells CSMA after the Date of REcord, like today, or tomorrow, that a tag is appended to the stock to tell the clearinghouse that spin offs or dividends go along with the parent stock.

So the way I am reading this, Greg, is that since SOMEbody owned the stock yesterday, they got the dividend. If they sell today, whoever now buys that stock will get the dividend.

Thus any shares of CSMA bought between the close yesterday and the Ex dividend date will have the spin-off shares with them.

Is that how you're reading it?

TG : Albeit, the news on the well is good (if true), I cannot believe that you and others are not madder than hell about the reverse. There is no reason for this reverse. We had 1 share of CSMA and now it is worth 14% of what it was, with the flick of a switch, like the wicked witch of the north. How can this be? If there are ever any completed audited financials released, and a sources and uses of funds statement, along with a shareholders equity statement, then the truth will be told, because there is something fishy about this "reverse, dilution" scam, IMHO. My take on it at this point is that management has just taken us to the cleaners!

So far, my Scottsdale rep said that the Date of REcord(which for CSMA was 9/30/98) is a reference date for companies to know who to send dividends to. The X dividend date, typically in the future, is the date the dividend is distributed.

tg, got time for one post until later. your information is consistent with (and actually more detaild) the information i received.
