bucky, is lucent still peddling asnd gear??? or have they peddled asnd gear in the past??? I think this is a significant issue!

Bucky, What is your opinion of ASND going forward assuming that Lucent decides to take someone else to the dance and they have to go it alone? There are quite a number of potential targets and ASND management may not be at all receptive to a Lucent offer. Sometimes cultures and top management in particular just do not make a good match ... lots of ego at that level. Besides COMS and NN, other potential targets that have been mentioned include Siemens AG's telecom unit, Nokia, and Ericsson. One concern I am sure a lot of us share is that ASND's stock may suffer a big hit should Lucent announce a big acquisition or two with no mention of ASND.
