Just to clarify, I was asking whether management could possibly have guided analysts lower, or whether analysts have just lowered all estimates across the board due to Japan, LTCM, deflation, pricing pressure, etc. I really don't know (and son't dare guess) whether there is any fundamental ODIS-related reason for the drop in the stock price.

As always, I think there's great value in the ODIS stock price at this level. For goodness sakes, it trading at about 20 times 1999 earnings.

Looking forward to the earnings announcement on October 20. Facts are so much more satisfying than guesswork....

Don't overestimate the power of the analysts crowd... After all, as far as ODIS is concerned, there are only 2 of them!! Hambrecht & Quist and Tucker Anthony. Period. Now, if you're really anxious, just click here:

and... don't miss the whisper number!

It looks like on Oct 20, ODIS's TTM P/E will drop to approx. 15 x stockprice.

It certainly appears that way. When the stock went through $7 not too long ago, I thought it was ready to breakout. Much good news, new major account relationships, positioning the technologies firmly within growth sectors, etc. The exact opposite has happened which, I agree, makes one wonder??????????
