MileHigh,

LRCX is cheap and no one cares.

Sox lost.

Pats won. I have officially shifted into autumn.

MH,
Regarding the commentary of numerous analysts and financial managers
from Wallstreetcity.com: It seems that most of them are cautious with
a negative bias but few were willing to actually attempt to predict a
DJIA low. I am more realistic/pessimistic and am ok with the possibility of embarrasing myself on the thread (but I probably wouldn't do it on a national TV show) but I'm thinking we will see
a low of the DJIA somewhere between 6500 and 7000 before we see 9000
again, probably before Feb '99. If this does occur then the NAZ will
drop to 1425-1475 as a low. One uncertainty is the "creative" book
keeping that makes earnings announcements look better than they really are, something akin to "smoke and mirrors" accounting practices to hide the ugly truth.
Regarding LRCX, this should be helpful. I see LRCX as a merger aquisition by a larger competitor to AMAT, someone like NVLS possibly.
Check this out.
