<< I'd love to have the chance, just once, to vote for The Greater Good! >>

Same here. I can't remember the last time I felt good about voting. I vote almost all the time. In 1996 I voted against Dole. In 1992 I voted against Bush.

Here in Florida, we have a disaster for Governor. Republican Jeb Bush and his very conservative running mate, against Buddy McKay. Buddy is way behind in the polls. Only the most dedicated Democrats will vote for Buddy.

Florida is going conservative. UGH! I was going to vote for Jeb before I read the article in the Miami Herald about his dealing in Nigeria, where the taxpayers got hit for a $75 million bill for pumps that will probably never be used in the tyranical country.

I wonder if the "ethical" conservatives are concerned when one of their own might have some dirt on his hands?

<< In short, we have before us the glorious prospect of voting for yet another bunch of gutless wonders. <Yawn.> >>

Sad but true. But....... there are some good and qualified candidates.

Regards, Bob

You know jbe, I sometimes wonder if in the long run it wouldn't be best for people to the left of the political spectrum if Clinton were ousted. His touchie-feelie liberal appearance merely masks the reactionary economic and social policies the federal government has pursued under his watch. With someone like Newt in the White House, at least people could see the government in its wretched, ugly, and inglorious nakedness.
