Gary: You raise an interesting point that I mentioned here or over at Yahoo. LU has gone upstream of XYLN and now can now control XYLN's switches or as you point out develop there own. This is not a positive. Let us hope that XYLN has other tricks up their sleeve and can move products to market faster than LU et al or there is really no reason for a small comapny like this to hang around.

Gary, I must disagree with your assessment....you make it sound as if xyln chased after qudt to incorporate their software. It sounds to me, though, according to the qudt VP who was quoted in the article, that qudt wanted xyln to help them "broaden our distribution through OEM channels" with their QiP product.
Sounds to me as if they chose xyln specifically.
