Anyone help w/controller question? The BH6 manual says that in order to fully support a DMA harddrive one has to install the IDE Bus Master software off their CD. I have such a HD, a Maxtor 8 gig 2880, which is a DMA drive so I tried to install the software and couldn't. I got a message that said "In order to install this software you must have Win95 and a PIIX Bus Master IDE controller." I'm running Win98 (don't know if this matters) but don't know what the latter refers to, and don't know if I'm getting DMA performance from the HD or not...the MB manual would suggest not. Any feedback appreciated.

Dave

Thanks Dan: can read it perfectly from the server, FAT, no formatting errors 9or chkdsk /f errors), haven't incorporated it into a larger partition since it's the maximum FAT 16 size (good idea tho--if all else fails I will), I am logged in as administrator, and it has the same extra permission as all the other partitions, with universal permissions.

Seems kinda strange, huh? Thanks for putting your noggin to it.
