Here's a link to the buyback announcement:

nasdaq.com;

I wonder why they're announcing this just before earnings report; last time it was announced the same day as earnings. There was a posting on Yahoo saying the company will again be repricing employee options on Wednesday, so maybe this buyback annoucement being early is intended to head off negative impressions of option repricing. I have not seen any official confirmation of the repricing.

Here's a cite to the announcement:

biz.yahoo.com

If they can pick them up at an average price of 12, this will buy about 16.6 million shares out of 110 million outstanding, or 15%.

Anybody here planning to get in on the buy back? I'm tempted to sell about 10% of my holdings, but not sure yet.
