Death is death.
Doctor Killed by Sniper
‘Somebody Lay in Wait'

I agree, death is death.

Wonder if anyone would have noticed if the news article, instead of saying this:

The Associated Press
A M H E R S T, N.Y., Oct. 24 — A doctor who performed abortions and had been the target of anti-abortion protesters was shot and killed by a sniper.
Dr. Barnett Slepian, 51, was gunned down by a single shot from a high-powered rifle Friday night. The bullet crashed through a kitchen window as Slepian paused in an office area of his house, Amherst police said.
Police believe the assassin hid behind a swimming pool in the backyard of the doctor's house, The Buffalo News reported.
“Somebody lay in wait,” said Amherst Police Chief John B. Askey.

had said this:

The Associated Press
Anywhere, USA Oct. 24th - A child, who had never heard of abortions, had been the target of a money grubbing doctor, was killed by that doctor.
Adrian Jennifer Jones, 5 months, was ripped apart by a single instrument from the hands of a doctor Friday night. The instrument crashed though the womb as Adrian lay sleeping in a safe place, and tore her from her mother, police said.
Police believe the assassin waited in a barricaded office, away from his "swimming pool", the news reported. "Somebody lay in wait said the police chief.

Different?

Death is death.

I am away, and will unfortunately be unable to quickly respond adequately to your use of this article and this unfortunate event. (and of course, I will not be able to quickly respond to your other, much better presented post.)

But I will do something here with the hope of being pleasantly surprised at my return. While I am away, try and discover why your use of the event in context of our discussion on abortion and the death penalty is comprehensively fallacious. It would be so very pleasurable for me to return having seen you be honest here.

Now perhaps you are being honest, and have been overpowered by emotion such that you cannot see your error. Or perhaps you are being as reasonable as you can, and have simply made an error as we all sometimes do. Whatever the case, you have erred terribly, and now I leave it to you to help reorient our conversation toward reason.
