Re:>>> IOM will be coming out with a 250mb Zip this qtr. <<<

Good timing for this product provided that the 250 meg drive
is compatible to the 100 meg disks.
IMO one of the reasons that Jaz II dominates certain industries
is because of the easy migration from Jaz I. The migration for
power users from Zip 100 to Zip 250 would be greatly promoted
if in doesn't entail a penalty by not being able to use Zip 100 disks.

The added bonus for these drives will be a larger margin
on the drives as well as the disks which I suspect would cost
about the same as the Zip 100 drives and disks.
Some price points that I would like to see would be Zip 100
drives at $75.00 and Disks at around $7.00 with Zip 250 drives
at$150.00 and disks at $14.00 all retail prices.

I don't think it's a good idea to introduce a Zip 250 at this stage. I just don't see that much demand for it and saturate the market even further, no?

To all those doubters, looks like Bateh was right about the low parrell numbers. Obviously the numbers are genuine and both sides of news are reported.
