AMDs chart indicates the move is in it's early stages. Good news is that the 200day SMA at 19.97 was taken out easily. Any ST straight line resistance is at 22 and the top 90/3 BB, at 21.57 being eclipsed today indicates that the stock is shorterm overbought but since it appears to be early in the move I don't weigh that indicator as much as I do at the end of a move. Still, the 22 area needs to be taken out convincingly over the next few days or we risk falling back into the 20 area.
Jim

Hi Brian...

Yup, I'm still hanging in there...though only lurking for a long miserable time.

How do you interpret the last two days of big runup...what's the story, Raza?...pending K7 show at Comdex?...just an oversold condition previously?

What d'ya think?

regards, Dan

Brian:

You Published <So much for Alex Brown and brokerages like them with a market perform rating >

BT-AB published on 10-27-98 <The news on AMD is getting better & better all the time, in our view. The company finally turned a profit in its most recent quarter and things look good so far in the fourth quarter. ...
... In conclusion, we are becoming more positive about AMD's prospects. We believe the comapny's product road map is becoming much brighter and broader...>

I only have it on paper - but that's the high-lites
