I see you haven't lost your knack for using twenty words when one will suffice. And still saying nothing of value.

Miss me?

Melissa, you are right. I've only been on this thread a short time.
I was getting the sense that people wanted gc run off the thread strictly because he's negative.

Yup, you were the only cheerleader on the sebl thread.

Regarding duffield, he had to leave integral systems to start psft so he could build a client server product with a clean slate.

My point is that there is too much for psft to do to keep focus on it's client base and develop new suites of applications as well as a next generation architecture. I don't think there are any enterprise software companies that have successfully migrated from one generation to another primarily because of the costs of maintaining the installed base.

Building a next generation product that ignores the past (a necessary step that Andy grove refers to as "eating your young") runs a massive risk of alienating your customer base. It's hard to do, and I can't think of a company that's made the transition well.

Shege, welcome back. where have you been lately?

TD

Mellisa, Bad news for you. The poll has come in. Looks like my poll rating is as high as Clinton's. <gg> I am here to stay. If that continues to make you lose sleep in the night, you need to seek help from psychiatrist. Here are some comments I received. Not everyone thinks the same way as you do. You should know that your attitude to drive out anyone you dislike for whatever reasons is obnoxious yourself. The proper channel is to go through webmaster which you did and failed back in April. I encourage you to try again because this thread is not a proper place to vent your own personal feud. But, all said and done, I still love you. :)

"I read the PSFT thread primarily for your comments.
Your views are appreciated by this lurker...."

"Keep posting...Too many people wanna just love this stock..
I think they were due to come back to earth.
I know the technology of this stock. It's not that good believe me.."

Here is another one even from a bull:

"Re PSFT please keep on posting to your heart's delight. It's a free country (or, in this case, thread). I am long on PSFT and therefore disagree with much of what you say. However, I think some of your comments provide food for thought, so I like to read them. Those who do not, can simply click "Next"."

Best Regards,

gc
