Bill:

As a shopper at both COST and CPU, my impression is that COST is a quality operation but CPU is not.

At CPU prices are mismarked or missing, inventory can be spotty, checkout is uninspired, prices are OK but definitely worse than local shops, informed assistance is difficult to obtain. They sell the same 'commodity' items as everyone else.

COST is operated almost to perfection according to their business model. They offer a service/product unavailable from another vendor in my locality.

I believe that the quality of operations is a major determinant of stockholder value.

What say you (if anything)? Thanks

peter
