Lee, We both know why I dont participate in the discussion on TSO.. lol As per DELL, I am looking at a good run into earnings, I am a bit worried as to how it has performed lately though. I see weakness in what others are thinking about the stock. Me, I personally think that there isnt another boxmaker that has what DELL does. In accounting terms, DELL has a production advantage that has the capacity to drive the competition into the ground. DELL can survive good times and bad times due to their efficiencies, so I think they can continue to gains share on all others. I only see GTW as a competitor. I see CPQ as a relic that will be exposed. They need to revamp their machinery and even if they were to get JTO going it will take a long long time to do it. And about the FED, I was watching the weekend addition of Sqwack and the person they were interviewing made a good point that the FED didnt ease in the fashion they did to appease the street, rather they have info that showed them that the credit market needed the easing. Notice how the benchmark has actually suffered since the easings. Flight to quality has been reduced since the easing. Corporate money is not as risky. I think the FED eases and considers that the street will continue to ride upwards, but the price of that in relation to the credit market problems is much more affordable. The credit problem isnt somthing that we know about and understand, it is behind closed doors and in board meetings etc... It will be brought to light much later but for now I bet we have no idea how serious it was before that first cut. Futures up a little as I write this post. So Lee, tell me what your long pick is?? :}
