Tom & all,
When building or looking at a trading system, what numbers are you looking for?? For instance, just using the PSTOP system itself on many indexes and stocks I'm seeing decent results: winners and loosers are about even some times 60% sometimes 45%, but avg. gain is like 2-1 or 3-1 & I know Tom has said this is (obviously) one of the things he looks at. (I know I posted some incredible numbers on it before...but that was a SW screw up and not correct as expected & I now have it corrected and more realistic #'s)

I have not added a profit goal or stop to it yet....but I'm sure that will help. I know MDD or maximum drawdown is also important, but what are some thresholds that you guys look at. I know Appel likes 3-1 avg gain or so and has seen good systems that only bat .500 or less.

Thanks...

Tom,

Yeah, I also saw the pop in the BKX which per my short-term technicals was below 10, which was a CLASS BUY. It is up nicely today, which was one of the weakest indexs for most of this week.
It didnt surprise me that it would pop but was hoping that it would delay the pop a day or so.
