Hi Starowl
Thanks for the reply, your'e correct, the time to buy was when the price was 1/2 what it is today, but the news then was not as positive and trying to call the bottom at that time was just a guess. Buying today is still a crap shoot but from what I read here and reading the upgrades from the analysts I feel more confident now, however I think I will wait until we see what the Fed has in mind.
Best Regards
Glennd

Starowl,
I'm wondering if we will be given another buying opportunity when the share repurchase is finished, coupled with year end tax selling. I sold all my position at 15 1/2 for a small loss. I will go long again if we see 10-11 again. Hopefully, for all the longs the rise will continue.

What do you call a "decent rise" over the next six months? I frankly don't think we're going up substantially until the fiscal year results are in and Bouchier has shown two positive quarters. And until the long term management picture is clarified. Take your expected earnings for 99 and 00 and multiply them by what you consider an appropriate multiplier and if you're like me you're not going to get anything much over 20. Adaptec doesn't deserve a multiplier of 40 or more at this point!
