Mindmeld, you are looking at it from the point of view of the number of fully diluted shares. I'm looking at it from the point of view of expense and revenue. So far as I know, cash received from the sale of stock is placed booked directly in the equity accounts (paid in capital and stock at par) and not run through the income statement. I think also that companies selling puts on their own stock do not list the value of the put as a liability, but it too is placed directly in an equity account. Am I mistaken on this?
