What went wrong at APM was that APM expected TFI to fade to grey but instead the transition was quite sudden. Also they did not have the technology available at all when the transition happened and were left out. APM does show that steady sales, high profit margins, high return on equity, and a low PE do not guarantee a good investment, particularly when dealing with the trailing edge.

I will point out that APM was heavily shorted, while MASK is not. Furthermore, I obviously think that there is a difference as I was short APM and am long MASK.

As an aside, how are you making the micron sign? I generally use a "u", but would prefer to use the real thing.

Note about half way down he says that he is extremely bullish about the photomask business.
