I have finally broke down and was about to put Windows 98 in. Should work better than 95 with the 80 mg of Ram I have.

Haven't used my cd drive for about 3 months and now I get this: "D:\ is not accessible. The devise is not ready."

Tray works okay. When I put the cd in, the green light lights up for a sec. then nothing. In the system summary I show "HITACHI CDR-7930 D:(CD-ROM)

Used to work great playing song cd's, etc. Anyone hear of this problem?

Appriciate any advise.

Jim S

wiz - I also laughed at a little blurb I read that the Scotia site offered <EASY> acces to you accounts online and to your trading accounts. As I have said before - in a fast mvoing market - The phone is the only way to go. PERIOD.

Someday we will have the middleman out and we will be right there.

Keep plugging Chief - we will get there

Wizzer

I & several others here, have had the same problems with Greenline's 'Web Broker' { I hate JAVA... it slows everything down !!!}. Best to keep bugging Greenline to improve Web Broker ( e*trade is just as slow !) With Greenline owning several brokerage firms around the world; you would think they would have the resources & man power to speed & simplify online discount trades. I still use the old ( DOS ) "Micro Max" ... 10x faster, separate data pac line ( great backup, if internet breaks )... But you must disconnect from internet & other data etc.

I too have had lots of trouble with TD Greenline. Not just on the website either. They're not much more competent on the phone. It took a while for me to shed the naive belief that they must necessarily know what they're doing. They are after all the biggest discount broker in Canada. But there's no end to their flagrant disregard for the needs of their customers. They've obviously made no effort to understand their own market. Reluctantly, and after a long while, I am forced to conclude that at every level they're short-sighted morons and contemptuous of their customers.
