Dipy, It is unfortunate that the media painted Newt Gingrich as a right wing nutcase. This simply was not the case. In fact, the main reason many Republicans wanted him out as House Speaker was his willing- ness to compromise with Bill Clinton. Many Republicans were furious with the Budget Compromise that Gingrich forged with Clinton. The Democrats will soon be sorry that Newt is gone because the House Republicans now are much more willing to go to the wall than compromise with Bubba Clinton. -john
