OK, thanks Rick. I'm starting to think the Island and ARCA books are a very valuable advantage to the trader, but it would be nice to have it to see...

In the case of the order you described, am I right that his order didn't show up on the bid, since it was above the ask; and that you knew about it through the ARCA book--right?

After months of struggling to solve quotes freeze problem, I appear to have solved it by switching to UUnet isp, a tier 1 provider (they are on their own backbone). Thanks to Ross Ditlove for all the troubleshooting assistance.
