<< How is someone at onsl going to manage quality control of some liquidated computer parts anyway?>>

The control comes when ONSL refuses to accept shipments of inferior quality parts. They may get burned once, but if they write their contracts properly, they will insist on a certain quality level, with the concommittant return rights if the quality isn't there.

More importantly, they gain control over the shipping and customer service process - ultimately, this is even more important than the quality of the product itself.

i have been an onsale customer for a year or two now
there is a difference between the products they have
and the "classified market" like ebay
onsl uses high quality companies to supply them
i just got a 3oo mhz system, printer, 17" monitor
all HP and appears brand new (altho' it is rebuilt)
quality is great, it all appears new, service is good

....and buy the way, my avg price is $17
yes i am a stockholder
and yes i will wait for the price to drop
so i can buy some more

curtis

Whats with you and DELL ? 1 out of 2 PCs sold in US are sold by small manufacturers who resort to agencies, dealers or gray markets for their supply.

You would suggest these small biz ariba? They have trouble working with Quicken !!

And whats up with this obsession with the term 'AUCTION' ?
When ONSL teams up with VerticalNet, it will be a combination where VerticalNet provides a database of information, of manufaturers, suppliers, dealers for 100s of products in different industries. ONSL by carrying the manufacturers or distributors surplus or regular merchandise is becoming a dealer for such products, can you guage the potential ??? A one stop shopping place for buyers.

... you claim the person who runs this company doesn't know what he has in mind,, ,wow ???

Theres a lot of garbage coming out of these analysts right now, they pretend they dont know anything about ONSLs venture into the general vertical market segment, look for them to come out and upgrade this stock when it happens...

NOTE none of them even came close to downgrading the stock to a HOLD, all they said was mkt perform, outperform etc. etc. and that too when the stock was in the 50-60 area

Right now they say that the Auctions market is crowded, How about the search engines with YHOO, LCOS, XCIT, SEEK, INKT etc. They all have mkt cap in billions and when I last saw not all even made money ?

EBAY????? ONSL already tied up with YHOO for person to person auctions, If I wanted to sell my camcorder would I go to EBAY and pay 5% on my sale, or go to Yahoo for free ? Chances are I've not even heard of EBAY, unless I'm a stock market addict

UBID ??? the companys sales are a joke, I would never invest in a Canadian company,

at a mkt cap of < 800 mil, and 3x sales, unlimited future potential, +ve earnings by next year, where could I go wrong ?
