For what its worth, I agree with you Sun, 100% on all points (the first time we agree 100% I think :). I too am still long, and will certainly ride out what should be a pretty good quarter, but I am pissed at TDFX for a variety of reasons.

Not responding to investors inquiries

Not responding to gamers interests

Taking so damn long to get decent drivers out for Banshee

For not being able to forecast demand at ANY point in 1998

For stringing us along with the "more OEMs soon" crap

For allowing the competition to catch up

For losing the "cutting edge" in technology to others

Hell, I could go on, but I won't.

I hope everybody loves THIEF, but I hope more that you will BUY thief...yes, I am long EIDSY, still....ugh...

For those who are interested, I bailed on some CD on Fri, went long the oils- DO, RDC, GLM--haven't bitten on RIG yet...so far so good...please, nobody tell me what a fool I am...my wife alerts me to this fact on a regular basis :)...hoping CD buyback kicks in soon (for the rest of my CD)...sold some CREAF as well...

I 100% agree with you on the stonewalling. I haven't been able to talk to anyone for a month. Last week I called every day and received no response. My experience with small-cap stocks and management that will not talk to shareholders is very poor. Plus, as a fundamentalist, I need more detail than the press release to make decisions so I need the company (of which I am a part owner) to respond.

Without a response, I can only speculate:

1. The company doesn't want to talk to me because I post here (and use my real name so there's no hiding).

2. The company doesn't care about serving its shareholders. Maybe the CFO is overworked and can't get to all the inquiries he receives. That means they should HIRE SOMEONE to provide the service.

3. There is something big going on right nowthat they do not want to announce or mislead callers. This could be bad news (poor yields, inventory write-offs, something like that) or very good news (additional capacity available, big contract, negotiating buy-out with Creative Labs, etc.). Since any investor inquiry would have to be answered with what has been publically stated (more detail and background info provided, but basically the same bottom-line), management may not want to mislead shareholders.

All I know is that I'm annoyed at the company for not responding to my inquiries.

Michael

btw - AGN and sharkyextreme (http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/weekly_cpu/b.shtml) both report that the new ATI card is not ready for testing yet. Who knows, the drivers (beta) may be turning off 32 bit rendering or other features that would slow the card down more. Or the card really is very good in 32-bit. I'm going to wait for other reviews before I draw any conclusions.

P.S. I am not ignoring the emails and private messages that I've gotten, but I'm afraid I don't have much time these days.

Hmm... You should be so forgiving on TDFX maybe? I agree they should respond to you, but maybe you could be a little more understanding and a little less condemning?

Hopefully you'll get a message like, "Sorry we can't talk to you now, we're too busy talking to OEM's." :)

I think Michael said he also isn't getting any response. Have you guys both emailed and called? If you've called, have you asked why you aren't getting any callbacks?
